A dream born from the heart of the island
Our story stems from Leila’s long journey. Born in Morocco, she moved to Italy as a child and lived there until she was 29, before discovering the wild magic of Cape Verde. Here, she chose to raise her children surrounded by sea and nature.
Once the children grew up, we decided to move permanently to Boa Vista to pursue her dream of catering. After a year and a half of intense sacrifices and hard work, Leila managed to open this beautiful restaurant entirely on her own.
We truly love this island’s warm weather, wild beaches, and authentic charm. Above all, we adore its slow and relaxed rhythm, which allows us and our guests to live wonderfully while enjoying every single moment around us.
Absolute quality has always been the real strength of Morna’s. In our laboratory, we produce fresh bread, croissants, and jams, collaborating actively with a trusted network of local butchers and small farmers from the island.
